Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about mitch.pro.

Privacy & Data Collection
Privacy & Security
No. Visiting a website is like knocking on someone's door — they can see you're there, but they can't walk into your house. mitch.pro has no ability to access your device, files, passwords, or accounts just because you visited it. The only information we receive is what your browser automatically sends to every website (your IP address, as described above).
No. The data collected (device ID, IP, page visits, game saves) is used only to run the site. It is not sold, shared with third parties, or used for advertising.
Access & Accounts
You need an access token — contact the site owner to request one. Tokens are single-use: once you enroll, your browser remembers you automatically.
If your token was revoked or expired, you can submit an appeal at /appeal.html. Include your reason and it will be reviewed. If you just switched browsers or devices, your progress should restore automatically via MitchSync. Just re-enroll with the same token.
Yes. Log in with the same token on each device. Your progress is stored in MitchSync and will prompt you to restore when you open the site on a new device. Both mitch.pro and mitch.88chan.me share the same save.
They're the same site on two different domains. Use whichever one works at school; sometimes one is blocked and the other isn't. Your account and saves work on both.
MitchSync & Saves
MitchSync is the cloud save system built into the site. It automatically backs up your game progress, settings, and stats every 5 minutes. When you open the site on a new device or browser, it detects the saved data and asks if you want to restore.
No. If MitchSync finds a save newer than what's on your current device, it asks you first: "Restore from MitchSync?" You can choose Yes to load it, or No to keep what you have. Choosing No will overwrite the cloud save with your current data.
Each account has a 1 GB MitchSync quota. You can check your usage and manage your saves at /export.html. If you go over the limit, the site will tell you and let you delete individual large saves to free up space.
Go to /export.html. From there you can:
  • Download a full JSON export of your local data
  • Save to Slot 1 (automatic) or Slot 2 (manual)
  • Restore from either slot
Games
The games page at /games/ has the full list. Highlights include:
  • Chess — play against bots, Stockfish, or solve 50,000 Lichess puzzles
  • Minesweeper
  • Cookie Clicker
  • Various others in the arcade section
New games get added occasionally. Check the newsletter or the additions page.
Go to the Chess game and click the Puzzles tab. Pick a difficulty (Easy through Expert) and press Next Puzzle. The board will show you a position and tell you what you need to do — like "White to mate in 2." Make the right moves to solve it. Your streak is tracked as you go.

Stuck? The 💡 Hint button gives you a two-step hint — first click shows which piece to move, second click shows where.
Yes. Your estimated ELO is calculated based on wins and losses against the bots and Stockfish, and is saved automatically via MitchSync.
Cookie Clicker saves to your browser's localStorage and is included in MitchSync backups. If you lost progress after switching devices, open the site and restore from MitchSync when prompted. You can also manually export at /export.html before clearing your browser data.

Chrome and Edge work best. Firefox works for most things. Safari has some quirks with certain games. Mobile browsers work for basic browsing but games are generally better on desktop.
